Story

 STILL LIFE is the story of the Morgan family, told through the eyes of oldest son Jake, who was murdered on his first day as a police officer. A year after his death, Jake watches his family with amusement, caring and longing. His mother, Charlotte, has been galvanized by tragedy to resume her dream of running for public office. His father, Ben, a police detective, must overcome the guilt he feels for his son's death. Younger brother Max is heavily conflicted, especially because Maggie, the woman he loves, was Jake's girlfriend. 19-year-old Emily is a haunting beauty whose life has been set adrift by the absence of her beloved brother.
